4th Annual Western Montana Dirt Derby

​October 22nd and 23rd, 2022 mushers from around the northwest will gather at Lubrecht Experimental Forest for two days of dryland races where mushers will be using scooters, bikes, or carts to enjoy racing through the trails

14th Annual Darby Dog Derby

​January 14th and 15th, 2023, mushers will gather just south of Darby, Montana for our snow race which includes races of various distances and offers a fun environment for all levels of dog sport enthusiasts!

The Bitterroot Mushers 

We are a group of dog powered sport enthusiasts ranging from a single dog owner to large competitive teams. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and engaging place for members of all levels to learn and compete in there favorite dog powered sport.
